Nikolaj V. Lassen ( Danija)

January
It has been good coming back to Lithuania, and in general Suduva, after the Christmas break.
January has been filled with snow and excitement as well as rain and boredom.
But the most exciting thing I can write about, is what happened last week.
The entire last week, Suduvos Gymnasium had other Erasmus students come visit. People from Turkey, Romania and Macedonia arrived and were welcomed to the school. We did a lot of different activities during the week. Workshops about what to do better in school as well as sightseeing around in Lithuania. We visited the culture center in Vilnius where we learned about Lithuanian history, and later on we also traveled to Kaunas to see old castles and the city.
It's been a fun journey so far, and it’s first now I actually realize that 5 months have passed, as well as half my time here in Lithuania.
A lot of things have happened already, and it still feels like yesterday when I arrived at
Kaunas airport.
I’m excited to see what the rest of the 5 months has to offer

Holidays in Denmark(Nikolaj V.Lassen)

nicIt has been good coming back to Denmark after being in Lithuania for 4 months. After traveling for about 10 hours, I arrived at my great aunt. The entire family was there. My own close as well as my dads’ cousins and their children. It was a nice feeling. It was the 23rd of December. The warmth of the house, the smell of leverpostej and æbleskiver, the sounds of Danish radio. It was a very nice feeling and I still remember every bit of it even today. The next day, the 24th, was a bit more hectic. We celebrated Christmas at my uncle’s, so we had to prepare a lot of stuff. We ate some roasted duck, potatoes, either melted in sugar or just normal, and for dessert we got a rice pudding called Risalamande. The next few days me and my family just spent time together. On new years eve me and some friends celebrated together. We drank, we ate, we did other stuff we would regret in the morning, but in the moment it was amazing. Next few days we just watched movies and spent time together, and the 7th of January my little brother turned 18 years old, so the family got together one more time.
It has been amazing being back and I can’t wait to go back to Denmark in February.

My story (Khatia)

182493324 4621110501235755 5333617837873548166 nIt is not easy to live in a different country far from your friends and family but that is where independence starts. Last month has been quite interesting for me. Some days I was just staying home and chilling and somedays was busy doing lots of stuff in a day. We went to Druskininkai. It was such a beautiful city and I can say during this two day trip I learned and discovered a lot. I tried Sakotis a delicious cake with a very extraordinary look and also the way it is made is extraordinary too. I tried to make it myself. I had lots of fun in Water park. That really was an unforgettable experience and even though I am not good at swimming I had crazy moments in the big pool. I also had very interesting classes at school that were challenging.  I had classes with so many students and it was not easy but I think I dealt with it pretty well. The weather is sort of affecting my mood sometimes and now that winter is almost here days start to shorten which does not make me happy at all.  But that is something I have to be patient about. In general, I like to spend time here and take lonely walks in the park where sometimes I encounter sweet funny rabbits.
